Severe weather during winter affected rehearsals; General Election coincided with May concert; Orchestra played under three different conductors; First concert fetured Dmitri Alexeev and was conducted by Meredith Davies; February concert featured John Ogdon and was conducted by Richard Hickox; May concert featured Moura Lympany and was conducted by Anthony Hopkins; Sponsored Concert featured English Chamber Orchestra conducted by Terence Lovett with Anthony Halstead and Robert Tear; John Lill, Anthony Goldstone, Erich Gruenberg to be soloists in coming season; Nicholas Braithwaite, David Haslam and Brien Stait engaged as conductors for coming season; Mrs Harold Needler, President of the Society; Luncheon with Magnus Pike organised by Vice-President Tony Hickson; Resignation of Mr Frith as Honorary Librarian; Deaths of George Wilson and Mrs Fraser.
