Stabilized and improved financial position; Financial pressure on Local Government; Financial guarantee secured for coming year from Arts Council through the National Federation of Music Societies; High income from ticket sales; Success of Sir Henry Wood Memorial Concert inspite of appalling weather and late arrival of soloist Moura Lympany; Participation of Trinity House School of Navigation in Sir Henry Wood Memorial Concert; Plans to bring Rafael Orozco, winner of Leeds International Piano competition, to Hull as soloist; Messrs Fawley Judge & Easton as Honorary Auditors.
