File contains black and white photographs of a drinks reception held on the occassion of the First Orchestra Concert of the Centenary Season, the cutting of a celebration cake, and the performance of the orchestra at City Hall. Persons featured in the photographs include the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Hull, Mrs Patricia Hewitt, Mr Keith Humphries of Hazlewoods, Mrs Humphries, Brian Paynes, Mrs Heather Paynes, Tony Hickson, Alan Schiller, Hillary Needler, Mrs Kathleen Hibbert, Mr S. Hibbert (President of Hull Literary Club), Margaret Brown (Secretary of Hull Philharmonic Society), Dr Stanley Harrison (viola player with the Orchestra), Margaret McLintock (Orchestra member), Mike Atkinson (Treasurer of Hull Philharmonic Society), Mrs Rosen, Calmen Rosen, Maurice Handford (Conductor), and Andrew Penny. Note that the photographs, numbered and marked with prefix reference of '2902', were taken by Kenneth Berry Studios & Associates, Creative Photographers, Durban Street, Hull.
