- This event was held by invitation of the Port of Hull Society's Sailors' Orphan Homes Board of Management and included the inaugural meeting in the Stratten Hall on the Newland estate. This occasion was also known as 'The Grand Re-Union' of scholars. The programme includes a list of old scholars and wives or husbands who had accepted the invitation for an 'Old Scholar Re-union' with an indication of which part of the country they are from.
