The file includes correspondence concerning fully trained rescue service personnel being sent to other cities where services were deemed 'underestablished.' This was known as 'Mutual Assistance-Interchange of rescue parties between cities.' There are also a handful of cases that were referred to the Home Office and Ministry of Health relating to payments of benefit (post war credit) or payment in lieu of benefit for named rescue personnel-these include references to the state of health of the named individuals as well as some statements from the named individuals themselves. Other correspondence concerns rescue, decontamination and repair depots at various sites across the City and rescue service vehicles. There is also a list of part time rescue personnel who were willing to be transferred to whole time duty (includes occupation, address, position in service, National I.D. no, Military Registration no, date of birth and age) from Nov 1942.
