Town Clerks records relating to Air-Raid Shelters > Agreement between the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Citizen's of the City and County of Kingston upon Hull and owner (s) and tenants of various properties for the erection of air raid shelters. The owner has signed the agreement as well as the tenants. The Agreement also include the signatures of witnesses as well as a map showing the location of the shelter. Attached to the agreement is a cover note to the City Engineers giving permission for the work to be carried out and, in some cases, a further letter from the Town Clerk to the owner in 1946 giving notice of removal of the shelter and the completion of subsequent reinstatement work.
