Sir Leo Shultz served on the Emergency Committee as Deputy Controller and in the Civil Defence during The Second World War. He also served as Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull from 1942 to 1943. He was knighted in 1966 for his work during the Second World War and his services to Kingston upon Hull.
Includes correspondence relating to consumption of water at Queen's Hall, the use of cars, Fire Guards and The Home Guard, the floodlighting until for rescue parties, Fire Prevention Orders, Trekkers transport and supervision of shelter wardens.
