Cards used to manage the volunteer Fire Guards. This is the largest group of Civil Defence volunteers, as each would be assigned a small locality to watch for bombs or fire, often in the vicinity of their residence. The cards comprise of a personnel card and in some cases, a card of agreement to undertake the role. The cards have previously been separated into men and women, C TYR/4/1 and C TYR/4/2 respectively. A small number of a different type of card exist for people based in Hessle and have been given the reference C TYR/4/3.
