Description:

Recalls being in an air raid shelter when they were bombed out of their home and they were evacuated to Bourne Chapel where they were given tea and soup.

There were lots of planes but 'they were caught by our brave lads'. She says that the schools were on fire and that it took a long time to put them out. The sky was 'all red' and there were craters filled with water everywhere.
