Description:
Recalls how her father was ill in bed when the sirens went and they hid in a corner before going down to the shelter. When she returned she saw that the windows had been blown-in where she had been hiding. There was soot in the kitchen inches thick. She says that 'I thought it was a dreadful night' and that her nerves were not as good as they had been.
