Description:
Recalls having to get her brother into the shelter when the sirens sounded. When she returned to her house all of the upstairs windows had been broken. She remembers the shelter rocking when the bombs dropped and thinking that the shelter was going to collapse. She also recalls that when the school nearby was on fire people struggled with the stirrup pumps trying to put the fire out.
