Recalls having to sleep in the shelter for six months and how one night she woke-up to hear bombs dropping nearby. When she went out she saw that Anlaby Road Church was on-fire, there was glass everywhere and people were crying.
She says that everybody was scared to stay in the city at night, with some people prefering to sleep in the fields and how her school was bombed and that they went to J.B. Holmes school and that was bombed. She finishes by saying that there has been some terrible raids but that 'we will always keep our spirits up and keep smiling'.
