Description:
Recalls being nervous when the air raids first started but that she 'soon got used to it'. Two incendary bombs hit their terrace and her school was burnt to the ground. This upset her until Miss Watson said they could use the Infants school. She tells how she and her sister were evacuated and that it was 'quiet for a bit' and then they returned home.
