The volume is divided into two parts each beginning at opposite ends of the volume. The volume includes the title 'Reminiscences of the Town of Kingston upon Hull being a list of all the Wardens, ..., Mayors, Aldermen, Sheriffs, Chamberlains, Town Councillors, Assessors, Auditors, Recorders, Magistrates, Town Clerks, Treasurers, Clerks of the Peace, Clerks to the Magistrates, Coroners and other Officers of the Borough, ... Stewards, Members of Parliament and ... Persons who have visited the Borough from its earliest foundations with facsimiles of their signatures or their autographs,' and relates to the years 1804 to 1843. Includes at the start of the volume a description of what each of the intended six volumes will include and a short list of coroners from 1296 to 1306.

On the other side of the volume is 'Local jottings, persons and events in the Borough of Kingston upon Hull in the 18th and 19th Centuries' by John Richardson, Surgeon-Dentist and Town Councillor for West Sculcoates Ward in the Borough of Hull from 1844 to 18[...].
