Describes how an eight year old boy from Saner Street School was injured when a man threw a bottle at the group and it hit and cut the back of his head (p.14), Goole steamship, the Broomfleet, sank with all hands in the North Sea (p.90), an entry regarding the execution of a man at Hull Prison on charges of murdering his two year old step-daughter with a hammer (p.121), and an entry relating to a fire in Lincoln Street, Hull, which destroyed three warehouses of Hull Grinders Ltd. (p.195-196)
