- The title page of L DLAB/4/1 is headed: - 'Collections towards a history of the town, port and county of Kingston upon Hull from the earliest notice thereof, under the name of Wyke to the present time'. It is made up of sections from the histories of Hull by Charles Frost (1781/2-1862) and John Tickell (pub. 1796), with some additional material written by Bromley Wilson-Barkworth. It covers the period from the 1150s to the 1860s. Previous Library reference L.9.7.
