Abstract of Holderness records based on notes of F.W. Brooks (3 volumes). These copies are a personal index to the Burton Constable muniments. Iincluded is An Account of the Honour and Seigniory of Holderness with notes by A.B. Wilson-Barkworth. The paper of the original manuscript is reputed to date between 1655-60, The handwriting is mid or late 17th century. These volumes are useful to indicate the extent of the Burton Constable muniments c.1670 but are also valuable as a guide to Holderness landowners, parsons etc. in the Middle Ages.
