Letter to Geoffrey Handley-Taylor from Sister Mary Cecily (Cecily A Dorling), The Nursing Home, Chubb Hill, Whitby - Ms Dorling was Principal of Endesleigh Training College, Beverley Road, Hull where she met and knew Winifred Holtby; University College of Hull, new, Principal Morgan, the Muncipal College, the Principal introduced Winifred to Sir Maxwell Garnett from which stemmed Winifred's keen intetest in the work of the League of Nations; religion; would like copy photograph of Winifred in back garden at Hornsea wearing spotted foulard dress and copy photograsph of Winifred's grave; Ms Dorling's original copies of these photographs were sent to her by Alice Holtby from Harrogate but lost in the bad bombing of Hull, May 1941
