Reprinted in EMN. Accompanying text -"An interesting picture ishowing the making of King Edward Street 22 years ago. The tram lines are being laid, having reached the junction of Vincent Street, Carlisle Street, Chariot Street and Medley Street. Chariot Street is to the left. Waltham Street is on the opposite side of the road. Young and Peck's premises are at the corner now occupied approximately by Rudge-Whitworth's premises. In the original photo Blundell's chimney can be seen in th enarrow skyline between the buildings."
