- Description:
From a newspaper cutting on card. Caption and text - "Bygone Hull - No. 30: Springbank in 1848. An interesting picute of the junction of Spring-bank, Prince's avenue and Spring-bank West in 1848. In the foreground is the Spring Beck, which ran down Spring-bank. The railway at that time had not been constructed. The Cemetery was then entirely "in the country". No building whatever being on Prince's avenue. In the picture a funeral is entering the Cemetery gates, and the old-fashioned feather plumes on the hearse are worth noting".
