- Series contains notebooks and diaries kept by Edward Archibald Markham recording work appointments and undertakings, visits, creative writing ideas and drafts. The majority of the items in this series were written whilst Markham was working in Papua New Guinea as a voluntary media co-ordinator at the Department of Information, Enga Province, between 1983-1985. Note that one item was written whilst working at Sheffield Hallam University and relates to the organisation of the Second Hallam Literature Festival held in 1999.
