Comprises various minutes, proposed minutes, account of meeting and agendas for SMC mainly held at Spurn (Apr 1965-Oct 1967). Topics include, issues related to various buildings, buckthorn, removal of the submarine defence boom, Little Terns, proposals to investigate educational aspects and permitting coaches on to peninsula.

Includes correspondence related to George de Boer's appointment to SMC committee with mention of proposal to dredge for gravel off Holderness coast and the mouth of the Humber (Apr 1965), George de Boer's appointment as chairman of SMC with guidance notes on duties (Oct 1967), to Yorkshire Naturalists' Trust (YNT) members detailing activities of Trust, related to student obtaining map for hypothetical scheme to design a Field Studies Centre (1967) and installation of gabions at Spurn (1966, 1967).

Also contains short history of YNT at Spurn (Apr 1967) and details of Gabion manufacturing company.
