Reciting:
a) Common Recovery: Henry Clerke, serjeant at law and Edmund Tavernor, esquire, from Richard Nevill, esquire: rectory of South Cave with two messuages, 60 acres land, ten acres meadow and 20 acres pasture in Southcave and Bromfleet. Hilary (1633/1634)
b) Deed declaring uses of (a): (i) Richard Nevill (ii) Sir John Thorowgood of Pillingbeere, Berkshire (iii) Henry Clerke & Edmund Tavernor: the premises to be sold and to pay £800 to Katherine, eldest daughter; £500 to Mary, second daughter, and £300 to Phillip youngest daughter of Sir Henry Nevill, deceased (1 Feb 1633/1634)
c) The premises were sold to Sir John Thorowgood, Sir John Sackvil and William Thorowgood for £2000, which leaves £400 surplus after payments as (b)
The Earl now directs that, from the surplus, £200 each shall be paid to Katherine and Mary Nevill. Witnesses Ro. Winde, William Berkeley, Ben Bridges (22 May 1637)
