Arising from the alleged undervaluation of the manor f and property in Northburton alias Chereburton, granted by Letters Patent (9 February 1587/8) to Edmund Downeinge and Myles Doddinge and passed subsequently to Sir T.G i) Memorandum on the state of the case, no date ii) - iii) Letters: William Court, London, to Sir William Gee (Secretary to the Council in the North), Beverley: advice and information on the progress of the affair. With a copy of a certificate relating to value of property in co. Northants. (lands late of chantry of Holy Trinity in church of All Saints, Northampton; messuage and lands in Blisworth, late of chantry in Blisworth church; and tithes in Kislingburie, and rectories of Brayfeild, Little Houghton and All Saints in Northampton, late of monastery of St. Andrews in Northampton), 10 October - 23 December 1608 iv) Acquittance: Sir Thomas Vavasour, on behalf of Thomas, Earl of Suffolk, to Sir William Gee: for £300 in part payment of the undervalue of the manor of Northburton, due to the Crown under the Statute of 43 Eliz., (the benefit of which was granted to the Earl by Letters Patent of 12 February 1608/9: Witn.
