Found that Paris was quiet with great numbers of soldiers encamped in parts of the city. Has recently purchased the estate of Woodhall. Writes that Paris is not in a settled state and that most wish for a monarchy. He is thinking of going to [Devouchere] for stag hunting in September. Dated 31 Jul.
