- Long letter. Writes that there is a great possibility that his regiment will soon be moved from Halifax to Newfoundland. Charles does not want to lose the opportunity of seeing Niagra and the United States. Mentions a Mrs Fales and her two daughters. Has recently been introduced to Mr Adams whose son is expected to be the next President. Writes about the ladies at the parties he has attended, stating that they are ugly and appear vulgar due to their pronunciation in comparison to the ladies of his society.
