On the 10th of May Raleigh had a little brother born but he only lived half an hour. Charles is thankful that he was able to have him baptized & buried in a Catholic burying ground. Writes that he has grown tired of the hot climate in Barbados. Mentions General [Middlemare] and General Maister.
