Description:
Raleigh has given up hope of his regiment being sent to Dublin. He believes that his mother is better to be out of France as the English and other foreign residents are leaving in great numbers from Paris. Mentions Sir Thomas Blake, Lady Blake and Captain O'Neil. Raleigh marched out with 30 police, accompanying the Sheriff. The Sheriff was visiting the people who owed their landlord money and was attempting to seize any land he could.
