- Dates:
- 10 Feb 1737
- Description:
- Portion of £10,000 due to Lady Bridget Osborne (wife of W.W.) under Settlement as U DDEV/21/48 and Will as U DDEV/21/49: Recites that the marriage took place without the consent of the mother of Lady B.O. (then Marchioness of Carmarthen), which invalidated payment of the portion; that W.W. brought suit against the Marques of Carmarthen (now Duke of Leeds) for payment but withdrew it on an agreement to pay £5,000; and that the sum now paid is in final settlement of principal and interest due.
