The Chauntry howse in Rayson, late parcel of the chantry of the B.V.M. in West Rason, with lands there, late in occupation of Thomas Thorebeck, chaplain; messuage and lands in Weste Rayson lately demised to Sir Robert Constable at 30s. rent; 2 cottages in Midle Rayson demised to Edmond Kings at 20s. rent; lands in West Rayson in tenure of John Dennys; all late property of the chantry and demised to John Mouncton by Letters Patent (20 February 1583/4): Recites a grant by Letters Patent to Myles Doddinge and Edmund Downinge (18 March 1587/8) and their Bargain and Sale to E.H. & M.P. (1 May 1588). Witn. Edmund Bussy, Edwarde Wymarke, M. Purefey, Robert Calcot, John Bampton, Jhon Browne, Jonas Wardell, John Feres, Mathew Dentone, Christener Shelkerton. Acknowledged at Lincoln before Robert Shule, and at Servants Inn before Francis Gaudy. 2 Seals, (i) a heron's head erased, gorged with a crown, between '.E.H.' (ii) armorial a swan, a fleur-de-lys in the sinister chief point
