- With the consent of Sir John de Warsop, rector of Westrasyn and others concerned, of a perpetual chantry of one chaplain to celebrate divine service at the altar of B.V.M. in the church of Westrasyn for the souls of Edward III and Queen Philippa, John Pouger (father of J.P.) and wife Margery, and Sir Thomas de Fulnetby and wife Elizabeth (aunt of J.P.), and for the good estate of J.P. and wife Amie, and for the ancestors and heirs of J.P. and Elizabeth. The chantry being endowed with: a toft, a garden, 1 carucate land and 16ac. meadow in Westrasen, formerly of Robert Totill; and 4 marks rent in Middelrasyn sometime of Sir T. de F. and wife E. (i.e. from William Smyth of Media Rasyn 13s. 4d.; William of Borell 13s. 2d.; William Chapman of Est Rasyn 5s. 9d.; Roger Knotte of Media Rasyn 5s. 9d. (John?) [ ]ge of Media Rasyn 14d.; Thomas Gamell 11d.; Richard Girdyng 2s.; Henry Pesse 12d.; John son of Thomas Pesse 16d.; John Pesse of Northbek 3s. 6d.; John H[ ]. 2s. 2d.; Thomas [ ] 2s. 4d.; Beatrice de Peke 11d.): Presentations to the chantry to be made by Bishop of Lincoln or, sede vacante, the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. Other provisions. Very badly damaged. Date illegible, but appears to be the 4th or 14th year (of Ric. II?- certainly post Ed. III); John de Bokingham was Bishop of Lincoln 1362 - 1398. Confirmed by the Chapter of Lincoln, 3 January of the same year. Two seals, both vesica, both fragmentary, (i) Virgin and Child, (ii) a figure (enthroned beneath a canopy?) with 2 shields below; that to the right bearing a cross bottonny (John de Bokingham bore Gules a cross bottonny or), that to the left illegible.
