- Refusal of Sir Marmaduke Langdale and Mrs. Anne Langdale to pay an assize rent of 6s.8d. due from a messuage called Pighill and lands near Beverley. Recites Letters Patent conveying the manor of Bishop Burton (and appurtenances including the rent in dispute) to Edmond Downing and Roger Rante (12 August 1591); their conveyance to Thomas Crompton; the descent to his son Sir Thomas Crompton; and his conveyance to Sir William Gee. Endorsed with memorandum concerning a comparable Bill against Robert Leedes gent. in respect of a rent of 4s.5d. out of part of close called Scrubb Field abutting on Pighill (Mr. (Joslayne?) Percy having the other part).
