Would be glad of an opportunity to serve his Majesty but not 'to bring upon me the odious name of Knavery'. Lady Cornwallis in the hearing of Mr. Portington 'a cunning fellow' called 'you' 'a sweet General, lay in bed untill eleaven a clock and could till 12 then came to see the Queene and so the worke was done. Generall King did all the buisiness'. The great offers made were from Lord Goring, 'the instrument Mr. George Butler'. 'He should meet my father... and strong things performed'. Has provided for himself 'if tymes be bad'.
