Asks recipient to use his influence to persuade Fairfax to allow Lady Hotham to have the full £100 worth of plate ordered by the Committee (he had reduced it to £20); and to take away her 10 chauldrons of coal. Has heard Lord Fairfax has seized Sir John Hotham's real estate; though he has not yet been convicted.
