Letter to Sir John from John Hampden

Reference No:
U DDHO/1/8
Dates:
4 Oct 1642
Description:
Glad he has been rightly reported to Sir John in the business concerning the two gentlemen 'of our house'. Will never lightly call Sir John's judgement and honesty into question. Horse and foot are being sent to Sir John's son with all speed. (We) 'think ourselves not well dealt with in the late pacification of Yorkshire'.
