Had finished his northern circuit, taking in Carlisle and Lancaster; two of the longest cases had been boundary disputes, both won by Lord Egremont. Comments on the unbearably hot weather; brings to his attention Dr Pennington, who practises for the summer season in Scarborough and wished to be known to the local gentry
