- Recites Settlements of 10/11 February 1817 and 27/28 April 1817 under which B. was tenant for life of the settled estates. Devises these and other estates to trustees Revd Henry John Hotham of Silverlands Surrey, Revd Frederick Harry Hotham rector of Rushbury Salop, and Francis Hart Dyke H.M. Procurator General. Outlines projected resettlement in favour of the holder of the Hotham Barony to be made within 18 months of his death.Income and surplus monies from estates to be used to buy land in the E. and N. Riding, giving preference to the former, at the discretion of the trustees. Francis Hart Dyke named sole executor 1st codicil: Legacies to Francis Hart Dyke (£10000), Frederick Harry Hotham (£7000), £1000 each to Revd Edward Richard Benyon, James Chapman, Admiral Arthur Duncombe, Rear Admiral William Edmonstone, James Hall, Admiral William Hotham, Revd Thomas Frederick Simmons (rector of Dalton Holme), Revd Richard Frederick Lefevre Blunt (vicar of Scarborough) and Hull Infirmary; small bequests to Thomas Benn La Coste, Esther Barnett (housekeeper), William Ducker (groom), Richard Bates, Caroline Willmott, Ellen Baker, and Eliza Byng (servants); annuities to Susan Frances Hotham (niece), John Hotham (nephew), to be charged on rents from estates at Beswick, Lund, and Holme on the Wolds; estate in E. and W. Moulsey, Walton on Thames & Esher in Surrey to Henry John Hotham (cousin), 16 July 1870 2nd codicil: Expenses of completing new church at Beswick to be paid out of his personal estate if not completed at the time of his death,16 July 1870 3rd codicil: All discretion regarding purchases of land to be vested in the Trustees, 30 September 1870 Probate 10 January 1871 granted to Francis Hart Dyke.
