Reversion of manor of Pighill, held for life by Sir Richard de Otryngham canon of St. John of Beverley of the demise of the grantor. With remainder on death of John son of Stephen, one - third to his wife Ellen for life, and two - thirds to her for as long as she remains unmarried for maintenance of their children; and eventual remainder to heirs of their bodies and then to his heirs. Witn. John Tindu, John de Rise, John Frost, William de Watton, John de Beverley. Given at London in the district (or street - 'in vico') of Hobourn in the parish of St. Andrew, Sab. in Translation St. Thomas martyr 1347. A 17th century translation is attached
