Description:
Toft and croft called Fortoft and 4ac., in Burglay near Ledes (of which one part lies between le Holgate W., and a certain 'Sickettu' E., and butts on Jurdanheng S., and on lands of the lord of Heddinglay N.; and the other part lies between lands of Kirkstall Abbey N., and Jordanheng S., and butts on the said 'Sicketu' W., and on lands of the lord of Heddinglay E.); also a pasture called le Strendes with a wood on it, lying near the R. Ayr in Burglay. Which A.P. inherited on death of his brother Thomas Paytfyn, whose widow Elizabeth holds it for her life: Witn. Sir William de Beston, Sir Roger de Ledes, Sir John Ward, John de Calverlay, Laurence de Arthington, Michael de Raudon, Thomas de Neuton, William Scotito of the same.
