Topics include: Marvell Press and Listen records business (including discussion on selling to Smith's and Listen Books), Marcus Goodall's family life, commentary on his travels, advice to Jean about her marriage and George Hartley's infidelity, and discussion of Marcus Goodall's mental breakdowns of Summer 1966, his recovery and subsequent marriage to 'Carola'. Marcus Goodall later committed suicide. There is also a letter from [the elder] [Captain] Marcus [Herbert] Goodall to his parents, 16 Mar 1916. Describes life in the trenches in World War I. From C Company, 1/5 York and Lanc., B.E.F. Marcus Herbert Goodall was a friend of Siegfried Sassoon. He was injured on 14 Jul 1916 and died shortly afterwards.
