Letter from Philip Larkin to George Hartley.
- Reference No:
- U DJE/1/10/1
- Dates:
- 12 Aug 1961
- Description:
- Discusses a possible reprint of The Less Deceived and a proposal from Faber. PAL doesn't want to add 'the poem' to a collection once published and suggests reprinting the collection as it stands. [Jean has noted that it might be 'Waiting for Breakfast'.] Faber's tripartite proposal (which George was against and PAL mildly for) would bring in some money without the Hartley's having to risk any, and would not require any more poems than a big-ish anthology. Doesn't want to release uncollected poems again, or be classed with Gunn or Hughes.
