- Belonging to George W. Gray and John W. Goodby and used by the group whilst undertaking research into liquid crystals at the University of Hull. Note that the significant liquid crystal discoveries of the 1970s and 1980s were made using this microscope, and that students who then went on to join the group learnt microscopy using it. Includes microscope with spare body and filters in separate box, lightsource, camera with attachment and cable and light exposure meter.
