Description:: File contains manuscript and typescript signed minutes of the Reorganisation Sub-Committee of the Missions to Seamen, established to consider the way forward upon the retirement of Mr Knox. Includes reference to the following: Mr Knox having served at Head Office since 1 Apr 1894; Mr Knox to go to Australia with full status of Secretary on 20 Oct 1933; Mr A.J. Matthew to be appointed Deputy Secretary at an early date; Mr A.J. Matthew to take over as Secretary upon the retirement of Mr Knox on 1 Apr 1934. Note that the first meeting was held 15 May 1933 but no minutes are present.
