1. Quality of Life Initiative - relates to a report submitted to the Home Secretary Jack Straw by Mullin on suggested policies for improving the quality of life in urban areas. Contains copies of the report and correspondence between Mullin and various persons including the Home Office, 22 Dec 1997-31 Aug 1999

2. Appointments to Select Committees - relates to a letter sent to Tony Lloyd as Chairman of the PLP by Mullin on the subject of the system for making appointments to Parliamentary Select Committees. Contains copy of the letter sent by Mullin and various responses received by Mullin from members of the PLP, 14 Nov 2008-25 Nov 2008

3. PLP Elections - relates to annual election of 18 Commons members to serve on Parliamentary Committee. Contains scrutineers' reports of ballot results for sessions from 1989/90 to 1994/95

4. Purge of Militant - relates to alleged attempts within the Labour Party to oust left-wing MPs including Mullin. Contains letters between Mullin and various PLP members and Peter Tatchell, notes, press cuttings, 9 Feb 1989-10 Jul 1991

5. PLP Miscellaneous - contains correspondence between Mullin and the PLP relating to proposals for Labour Government policies in 1995, proposed new PLP membership system, 1993, and a request by Mullin to be considered for appointment to the Home Affairs Select Committee in 1992, 1992-1995
