- Letter, partly on orange paper, discusses a letter from another friend ([Frank?] Smith); Sutton's previous letter; jazz; and what he has been reading, discussing in particular James Hanley's 'Boy' (1931), and Auden, quoting from the poem 'Happy New Year'. (16pp). Contains a small illustration to make a point (depicts going to Hell), and one of Larkin trying to catch mice in his room.
