Briefly discusses going to visit Thwaite at the University of East Anglia, where Larkin is due to give a poetry reading, referring to Rupert Brooke, Walt Whitman and T. S. Eliot; and a letter by Thwaite in 'The Times' concerning John Gross taking over Thwaite's job as Literary Editor of 'The New Statesman', making reference also to Karl Miller. (1p, plus envelope).
