Spiral notebook (20.5cm x 16.5cm) into which have been pasted cuttings of some of Philip Larkin's published poems, with occasional explanatory notes

- Includes the ts. of 'Winter nocturne' (his first publication, in 'The Coventrian', December 1938) and the ts. of 'Spring warming' (April 1940). 'Philip Larkin 1939' is written on the cover. A loose page (from a printed book) is inserted at the rear of the notebook, containing 'Lines on a photographic negative' by John Wain, and 'Better sight without glasses', by Kingsley Amis. Pasted inside the front cover is a newspaper cutting of 'The return' by Elizabeth Jennings (5 March 1954)
