Three plays for radio by Alan Plater, following the stories of five generations of women in one family who are all called Megan including Megan No. 5 who rediscovers an old song with her grandmother, Megan No.3, and learns about the meaning of the song to the family's history (inspired by stories from the Women's Jazz Archive). Contains a script for Episode 1 'Roll Jordan Roll' about Megan No.1 and the origins of the song; a script for Episode 2 'The Great Pork Pie Mystery' about Megan No.2 and why the song became personal to the family; a script for Episode 3 'Beacons' about Megan No.5 using the song to reconnect with her heritage; correspondence with Alison Hindell (Senior Radio Drama Producer, BBC) and Jen (Women's Jazz Archive) (2001); photocopies of information relating to female jazz performers; and a cassette tape entitled 'Tales of Inclination' by Paula Gardiner.
