Film for television adapted by Alan Plater from Lovat Dickson's novel 'The Wilderness Man' about the English-Canadian conservationist 'Grey Owl' who claimed to be a Native American. Contains manuscript notes by Alan Plater relating to the structure of the film; a letter to Pat Ferns (Primedia Productions Ltd) from Hilda Kirton concerning an anecdote relating to Grey Owl; a letter from Primedia Productions Ltd to Alan Plater (29 Mar 1989), and a typed summary of the current rights situation as regards the biography of Grey Owl by Lovat Dickson.
