Based on the television series of the same name, about a lecturer who has recently been made redundant and decides to use his time to visit his favourite crossword compiler, only to find the compiler's house ransacked. The lecturer ('Oliver') determines to find out why. Contains a draft text for the inside back cover of the paperback version, three copies of the dustjackets for the hardback version, a programme with menu and list of speakers for the Hull and East Yorkshire Literary Luncheon (8 Jun 1994) and notes on suggested television play 'Why did we eat the frogs?'
